Terms and Conditions
This is an informational summary in English. The legally binding document, governed by Argentine law, is the Spanish version.
1. What Interpatagonia Experience is
Interpatagonia Experience is a digital directory/intermediary connecting guides, operators and companies offering activities (excursions, fishing, boat trips, mountain guiding and similar) with people who want to do them. Interpatagonia Experience does not organize or run the activities, is not a party to the agreement between provider and customer, and does not process the booking payment or the running of the activity. The booking is made exclusively between the provider and the customer, outside the platform.
2. Using the site and accounts
Anyone can search for activities and send inquiries without registering. Providers need an account to list. Whoever registers declares that the data entered is true, accurate and up to date, and is responsible for their account: they must keep their password safe, not share it, and report any misuse immediately.
3. Registered providers' obligations
- Hold, and keep valid, the licenses, registrations, permits and insurance (for example civil liability and participant accident cover) that the applicable national, provincial or municipal rules require for the activity offered. Interpatagonia Experience does not verify this paperwork.
- Publish accurate, up-to-date information about activities: what is and isn't included, duration, difficulty, age and fitness requirements, required gear, meeting point, languages, reference prices and cancellation policy.
- Respond to inquiries received through the platform and confirm to the customer, before closing the booking, the specific conditions of the activity and any extra charges.
- Use guides or instructors trained for the activity, and give participants the appropriate safety briefing and equipment.
- Inform the customer as early as possible if the activity has to be rescheduled or cancelled (see section 6).
- Accept these Terms and Conditions upon registering.
4. Information and responsibilities of people inquiring about an activity
The specific conditions of each activity (insurance, requirements, gear, risks, cancellation policy) are set by each provider, not by Interpatagonia Experience. Outdoor and adventure activities carry their own risks. Before confirming a booking, the person inquiring agrees to:
- Give true and complete details, their own or those of the people they inquire for, and answer for errors in that information.
- Check the activity's conditions directly with the provider, and tell them about any health condition, physical limitation, pregnancy, allergy or medication that may affect participation. Each participant is responsible for being fit to take part.
- Meet the minimum age and other stated requirements, follow the guide's or instructor's directions during the activity, and arrive at the meeting point on time.
Interpatagonia Experience does not verify the existence, licenses or paperwork of providers beyond what they enter into their account.
5. Bookings, prices and payments
Published prices are for reference and are set by each provider. Availability, the final price and the confirmation of the booking are given by the provider when replying to the inquiry. An inquiry sent through the platform is not a confirmed booking and does not hold a spot until the provider confirms it. Payment is agreed directly between provider and customer, by whatever means the provider accepts; the platform does not currently process payments between provider and customer.
6. Cancellations, changes and weather
Each activity has its own cancellation policy, which the provider must state and which the person booking must know before confirming. Interpatagonia Experience does not collect or refund money and is not involved in refunds, which are settled between provider and customer under that policy.
For safety, weather, road or river conditions, force majeure, or lack of a minimum number of participants, the provider may reschedule or suspend a departure. In that case it must tell the customer as early as possible and offer an alternative date or a refund of what was paid, as agreed between them.
Whoever cancels late, does not show up, or arrives late at the meeting point may lose what they paid, according to the provider's policy.
7. Commission
Interpatagonia Experience charges registered providers a 10% commission on the value of each booking that results from an inquiry originated on the platform. This is settled between Interpatagonia Experience and the provider outside the platform. Billing details are communicated to each provider on registration.
8. Content, reviews and conduct
Texts and photos a provider publishes must be their own or used with permission, and must not be false, misleading, offensive or infringe third-party rights; the provider is responsible for them and allows the platform to display them. Using the site for unlawful purposes, sending fake or mass inquiries, or trying to breach its security is prohibited. Interpatagonia Experience's own names, brands, design and content may not be copied or reused without permission.
9. Caring for the environment
Many activities take place in natural and protected areas. Providers and participants must follow the rules of each park, reserve or site (authorized trails, fire bans, waste handling, care for wildlife and plants, and fishing and boating regulations) and leave no trace.
10. Verification, suspension and removal
Interpatagonia Experience may ask for data to be corrected, hide listings or suspend the account of a provider that gives inaccurate information, receives serious well-founded complaints, or breaches these terms or applicable law.
11. Limitation of liability
Interpatagonia Experience is not responsible for the running, safety or quality of listed activities, for accidents, injuries, loss or damage to people or property during the activity, for weather conditions, for breaches of contract between the provider and the customer, or for terms agreed between them outside the platform. The provider is solely responsible to the customer for the activity it offers and its insurance coverage.
12. Personal data
Data entered by providers and customers (name, email, phone, inquiry messages) is used only to put both parties in contact and to manage accounts. It is not sold or shared with third parties except as required by law. Processing is governed by Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law 25.326: data subjects may request access, correction or deletion of their data, and the Agency for Access to Public Information is the supervisory authority under that law.
13. Changes
Interpatagonia Experience may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes apply from the moment they are published on this page.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. The Spanish version prevails for any legal dispute.
